Re-coding with Vag caom issues

Did a Tip to 6sp swap. Everything worked out great but, I am having a hell of a time tring to get this thing to re-code! (It's an '02 AA box) I need to change the engine, ABS, and Cluster codes. I am using the shareware version (409.1 IIRC) with an e-bay cable. Everything checks out just fine, I think, communicates, pulls codes ect. The controllers just won't except the new codes! Engine:06711, ABS:04395, Instruments:02364. I used this same set up (on a different lap top) to code my old TCU so it should work. I tried to log in to the engine using Ross-Tech code 11463 (also tried 01283 and it kicked me out)and still no difference. I'm frusterated as all hell, so any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I'm pretty sure there are certain controllers you cannot re-code with the Shareware version.

When you try to do something that requires a full version, licensed interface, It should tell you that when you click
'Do it!" using an unlicensed cable. Are you getting a pop up window that says this?

For the B5, all you need is a Key-USB. It won't work on some modules on newer, CAN based cars. There's an application chart on Ross-Tech's site.

Nope, that will pop up if I try to adapt, but not when I try to code. Lemi is working ok as well. Last night I tried re-loading 409.1 to my lap top and nothing changed.

i actually had the same issue with the full version of vagcom, would not let me recode cluster.

Bump, friend of mine helped me out and brought over a full version of Ross-Tech. No difference, still wouldn't take any codes. Thinking that the ECU is locked somehow from the flash/tune(which is unknown). Ideas? Seems like the easy way out is just swapping to an M box, but I would rather solve this issue!
