    Need help reinstalling rear deck

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I just got my sub setup project finished, and im putting back together my car but i can't get the rear deck cover to fit back in all the way. The 4 long plastic tabs are going in just fine, but the sides were the cover connects to the pillar aren't fitting. There are holes in the deck cover that aren't lining up with the tabs on the pillar. It almost seems like the rear deck isn't in far enough, but that doesn't seem like the case (edit: i just took a look at it from the outside, and it looks like the deck isn't pushed in all the way....derp). Its 9:30pm, so i am spent and it can wait until tomorrow, I just wanted to know if any of you gurus have any advice/tips.

I will get pics up in a little bit. Thanks

EDIT: so nevermind? unless there is some sort of trick?

These things have me K.O.'ed. someone please help. The tabs shown do not bend at all, they are solid. The rear deck still looks like it isn't in all the way, but it wont go any further back (im thinking this might be because the tabs suck the back of the rear deck cover up, making it more flush with the rear window)

    The tabs passenger side

    The drivers side tabs

where the tabs insert on the rear deck cover

    Notice the distance gap?

It looks like the rear sides are to go in after, but if you can push the bottom in more and up at the same time then you just pull back it towards the front it might lock in. I hope those little tabs didn't get messed up coming up. How did you pull the lower middle part out?

The C pillars are suppose to be pulled out first if you dont want to damage the rear deck, in which it looks like its damaged since the slots look torn. IRVINGS is correct. Removal process should be remove C pillars and the one long one on the roof, then the rear deck and do reverse when installing.

How do i remove the side pillars? From what i see the pillar which has the tabs on it is one piece which extends from the rear all the way to the front/middle. There is a section along the back window/roof which looks like it needs to come out first.

Anyone know what holds these pieces in (clips?) or have one of those diagrams which shows the things that hold the pieces in? My car has been torn apart since last friday, so it needs to get put back together fully. It is bugging the crap out of me
