Rattling from the moonroof...help please

Did some searching but couldn't find anything specific to this issue. For the last month or so there has been a strong metal on metal rattle coming from my moonroof, but only when it is vented up, not when its fully open or just closed. I have tried messing with it and poking around but haven't found the culprit.

Anyone ever have this problem? or know how to fix it?

I had a rattle coming from the cabin light area, just in front of the moonroof. Not sure if its the same issue but I brought my car to the dealership and they 'took apart the roof, insulated some part' and the rattle be gone.

on the left and right side of the roof in between the glass and shade the two plastic holders?? thats wats rattling in my car

I had a rattle in my sunroof. It was only noticeable over bumps. And yeah it sounded very metal on metal like. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the entire assembly. :)

i took apart the lighting assembly and fixed a vibration a while back so i dont think its that. my rattle is similar to mrdonbonjovi's, only over bumps, but of course i told the dealer and got an "unable to replicate," and now my warranty is expired so i dont want to pay for an entire new assembly. shit.

Check the guides for any obstructions such as pubbles, etc. I have an OEM assembly for sale if anyone ever needs one.
