Removing swirls from piano black trim

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but couldn't find anything by searching. Does anyone have any tricks for removing light scratches/swirls from piano black trim, without removing the trim from the car?

It seems like using a swirl remover (glaze) by hand and masking off the vinyl would work well. Something like this: http://www.properautocare.com/3mperswirmar.html

i would say doing it by hand is your best option, like you said just tape the edges and apply a swirl remover and buff it out with a MF cloth

Can anyone recommend a particular swirl remover that might work well (something with lots of fillers, not abrasives).

I fixed mine about a week ago now. Used PC with CG All-in-one polish. Went over it real quick, very light pressure - came out good as new.

Warning - it is plastic, so you don't want to go too aggressive. AIO polishes and something like Menz PO85RD would be a start. Take a look here: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...h-Chart-Update
