My CVT won't engage in park...it only happens when I've been driving it for awhile...when the I shift into park, the P is not highlighted...meaning if I shut of my car and try to start it again it won't start or even crank because it needs to be in park, or the P needs to be highlighted...but after 15 minutes or so, it will come back on...so what is wrong with my car???? I don't want to take it to the dealearship yet...

Sounds like an issue with the transmission control module (TCM).

Are the gears blinking? Mine were, and the trans was acting weird. It was the TCM.

    Update

I drove home from work...parked it in front of my house, the problem seem to go away...the only issue now is that when I was at a stop light, my temperature gauge went sky high and made the beeping sound, but when I started to accelerate, it dropped to half way...so odd, so maybe the coolant temperature sensor is bad??? IDK...
