    So I know that there are TON of posts on this forum regarding pods for our c5 cars.... Has anyone made something that goes on the steering column for 2 gauges.... It is
    extremely frustrating that there is nothing decent. A-Pillar = RICE CAN.... Ash tray delete... IMO line is sight to the road would be slightly better. I am not a vent fan either
    as I like A/C and Heat when I want it... LOL so this leads me to the steering column... If anyone has ideas or where to go to purchase please let me know...

    I sorta have a feeling that this is gonna be custom fabrication.

    I still have full use of my vent even with the gauge in there...I can't direct the air but I can open the vent so it flow...plus there is another vent on the left side.

    I want to see if people have any gauge pods that are FS aside from the air vent ones. I'd be willing to do an ash tray delete but I'd like ot keep my vents, steeringwheel would be nice I might try to tackle one but I really would kinda like an ashtray one.

    any ideas?
    2000 A6 2.7t 6mtq, dark as hell windows, loud exhaust, k04 turbos. loud stereo, and a bunch of other shit.

    That's a rough project, and you have to be electronically inclined. I would just want a company to make a vent pod for the C5 already and call it a day.

    I saw that LED install. Extremely clean, however like A62TURBO said, hell of a project... For what it cost to get that bought and installed I'd rather get gauge pods over my steering wheel. I am thinking I may just go to the local high end stereo shop (for you NW folks... there are former pro installers from Magnolia Hi Fi in Everett, WA now with their own shop) I used to work with them a long time ago. I will show them the pic of what the S4's look like for the steering column. If they can create something that can be recast easily then we will have a solution. Seems like a steering column may be a popular choice...

    I agree that it's not for everyone. The cost is a tough pill to swallow. But, it's exactly what I wanted.

    Has anyone ever though of replacing the business card holder with a bar-style boost gauge? I think i am in the minority for digital gauges, but it might be cool to have one there. Who uses their business card holder anyway?

    I defin want to do something with the business card area. But that guage "bryzf1" has looks so sweet and oem.

    I agree it looks nice, i just dont like seeing the bracket part of it.
    I did a steering pod-gauge, but i need to fix it and do some fiberglass work to make it look cleaner.

    Yeah, I have a Profec B Spec 2 in there. Boost controller / gauge in one, and it fits perfectly.

    This pic is actually not from my car, but I have the exact same setup w/ a Defi 30psi gauge... the mounting bracket comes with the gauge, but I don't mind it being seen. I think it flows well and is not that obtrusive... I really didn't want to mount it in the vent as there are only the two in the middle unlike my old B5 S4 which had three vents.
