Yea i no its shitty my friends went last sunday ... better then nothing i guess ... i went to killington 4 times this season and went to mt snow twice ... went locally every chance i got till i disloacted my shoulder at mt snows terrain

havnt been able to ride since ( been 4 weeks or so ) so i think ill try and hit up wtvrs left as shitty as it is ... if they are still opened im sure u can still ride...i guess...

Don't get me wrong, I was on unemployment too, but only because I needed a job that paid more than my unemployment to make ends meet, and feaible to come off it... and as soon as I found one I spent two months of hell in Alaska working to at least have a decent paying job...

Its funny because the argument of "why would people need to work when benefits are already at 96 weeks" was exactly what many defended Senator Bunning from KY when the rest of the US was attacking him for not wanting to extend the benefits beyond 96 weeks without a way to pay for them. In the end, Americans lazy nature worked out. The goverment will pay your bills for over 2 years because so many wont take a job thats "below them."

Sounds like your friend is a lazy ass, slacker. I was unemployed a few years ago and I could have sat on my ass and collected unemployment checks. Instead, I got a job waiting tables. Some people have higher standards for themselves than others....and some people legitimately can't find jobs right now, and would be homeless along with their family, but hey, let's f*ck the people who really need it just cause your friend is an ass.

most of a time I would agree, but not all of us are lazy fucks

I've been trying to find work for over 6 months now and there's nothing up here now, and I'm in no position to relocate right now - even temp agencies are having a hard time

some people are getting more on unemployment then they would by going to work at McD's or Wal-Mart - why would someone who's getting $400 unemployment go and work for $8/hr?

Actual the financial crisis, in large part, can be attributed to both Bill Clinton and the Republican led house with the Gramm Leach Bliley Act of 1999. It was passed almost unanimously or 343-86 in the House and 90-8 in the Senate. So technically both parties are largely at fault. At least for the over leveraged issues.

With that said, Obama was left in a very tough situatuion and it's not getting any better. False promises, still rising unemployment and the National debt rising faster than ever before is not getting it done.

Add this to the Senate and the House getting raises along with voting their staffers raises between 7 - 17%. We're getting bent over.

Do you know anyone who has either been hired or not been laid off because of the stimulus?

The economy will spike and dip in cycles beyond anyones control. Another proven fun fact, is that no administration has EVER been able to "jump start" and economy.
