rear view mirror install

Hi trying to install a rear view mirror with a compass and autodim feature into my b6 that did not come with that feature. So the mirror is in, the install was straight forward but I found a harness under the headliner it plugs in the new mirror but the mirror does not light up. Is there a fuse that power that circuit ? I checked for power at the connector nothing. Can anyone help ... thanks

pretty sure there's an extensive write-up on here detailing how to provide power to that harness. search is your friend :)

If you search under my other screen-name (QTC) and "auto-dimming mirror DIY" or something like that, you should see the big thread I pieced together a few months ago. It shows you the exact process to make it work.
