    2010 Audi A5 performance

So I test drove the 2010 A5 today, 6sp 2.0T. I was wondering what are the true performance numbers for this car? Audi claims 0-60 in 6.5 so I was wondering what other car magazines have tested it at. I just want to compare to other cars in it's class.

    Thanks

he treated me pretty well. with prestige package, S-Line, 6-speed, 2.0T, MSRP was: $47,575. He was able to bring it down to $46,220. He didn't want to budge anymore from there. I will check if other dealers in the area are willing to come down at all on that price. If not then I will place my order with John on Monday. Thank You for introducing me to him. :)

C&D got 6.2s and Motortrend got 6.4s. It's faster than the BMW 328xi coupe (6.8s) but slower than the Infiniti G37x coupe (5.5s!). I'll be honest though, if 0-60 acceleration is important to you, then it's hard to overlook G37 and the extra 100 horses.

I just wanted to get an overall idea as to where the car sits with rest in it's class. Thanks for getting back to me.

Quick enough is how I would describe the car. Unless you want to head to the drag strip it is fine. Not the fastest in class, but I would argue that the Infinity interior is so ugly that it would have to be an 11 second 1/4 mile car for it to make sense.

if you use zags car buying service, the same exact set up (prestige package, S-Line, 6-speed, 2.0T, MSRP was: $47,575.) in chicago will cost you $45,232.

Agreed. And I'm really enjoying the extra torque. Such a different car from my 2006 A4 2.0T.

Important to note that with the APR chip and 93 octane or more gas you go from 211hp/258tq to a whopping 240hp/333tq. The S5 is 354hp/333tq but I have a feeling that around town you'd be hard pressed to see a difference. Out on the track would be another story...
