My buddy recently did a set of RS's. Here's his thread: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=4405645

Good luck. He had some major time invested in those lips.

I'm about to get the wheels powder coated and wondering if anyone knows how to determine if the wheels are aluminum or magnesium, because magnesium will melt in he oven. I have looked everywhere and cant find any information.

I just sold a set of those to a guy in CA.

I have this feeling et17 and et18 wont sit quite right.
Unless you did a larger lip or barrel up front, its 10's in the rear.

I probably don't need to mention this , but check those faces for cracks near the lug holes.

Just got the wheels back today from the powder shop and I am very happy with the outcome, everything i wanted. Got the centers done at Powder Coating alternatives for $260, and also got the inside bore of one of the wheels tig welded due to hairline cracks as vdubstreets mentioned. Anyway heres the pics hope you enjoy

Where in NH are you?? I have a set of O.Z. Mito's that I need to refinish and no one around has the tool. Where did you get it and how much was it? If you are in or near Manchester let me know.
