    A/C pressure sensor

    So took my car my car to the dealer and they said my A/C Pressure Sensor is out thats y my a/c wont get off the Econ Button.. What kinda sensor is this? and is it expensive....

    Just had this sensor replaced yesterday at the dealer. $68 for the part, $190 to put it in. Fixed my A/C, now it blows cold and the ECON light is off..

    It resides on the condenser near your driver headlight. Should take about 15minutes to swap and then you'd have to recharge your A/C system.


    Either A) your sensor is bad and reading low causing the system to stay in ECON or B) your system is low on pressure because you have a leak causing the system to stay in ECON


    Constant ECON for the climate control is a failsafe mode for the A/C system to help protect the compressor. You don't want to blow the compressor for a new one costs around $500 US. Hence the failsafe mode.
