HFC Test pipe im so confused

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
SOOOO i like the way test pipes sound but I really dont want to get a ticket or deal with that stuff. So with that I plan on getting stasis exhaust later on. I guess my question is are HFC illegal and if not what are good ones to go with

    Thanks

That was un called for. To answer the OP's question, high flow cats are not illegal and as far as brands take your pick. Most are pretty good unless its a cheap ebay one with shitty welds. As far as the test pipe goes if you plan on tuning it I would just go with the test pipe as they can turn the CEL off. I just passed inspection with my test pipe. A cop isn't going to be able to tell if you have a cat or not.

The cop did an emissions test? How? The HFC will not make the CEL come on.

I gotta say for all the more senior members on here, in case you didn't notice the Search function is actually pretty jacked these days. I liked the old way a lot better, it made narrowing your search a lot easier.

Check out 034 Motorsport for a BAD ASS HFC....well worth it, you can find sound clips and shit on YouTube

The hardware kit is probably bolts and gaskets, you'll need those unless you're planning on reusing your old stuff (probably not recommended). The o2 spacer is to decrease the likelihood of getting a CEL (don't ALWAYS work but it helps)

You shouldn't need the 02 spacer for the HFC its more for the test pipe. I highly recommend the hardware kit. Chances are a nut or bolt may break because of the extreme heating/cooling sessions. Also if you try and reuse the gaskets it won't work and you will always have an exhaust leak.
