Where To find a bluetooth for my RNS-E ?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hey fellow Audiziners...
I have been searching around for a bluetooth unit for my RNS-E in my B6 S4. So far I found one called the Fiscon Bluetooth which is pretty cool since it shows display of your contacts on the screen of the navigation unit and the FIS display (tach display). Also it has a way to play the Mp3 music from the phone onto the car via Bluetooth. The only problem is that their website product screen in in German or something. i cant figure out how to buy it, or if it will even work on my car since its European spec probably...
where can I find the US Fiscon (hope that doesnt sound dumb), or What other alternatives do I have?
    thanks!

Your best bet is to look around for a used OEM unit, they pop-up on Ebay and audiforums.us alot. I've read to many posts about the fiscon units not working right, do a search over on audiforums.us for more information. If you are patient you can get a good deal on a used OEM unit, I nabbed one with mic, cable and antenna for about $250 a year or so ago.

And don't pay any attention to the A2DP capability of the fiscon, the interface between the unit and the car is mono so it will sound like crap.

Thanks for the insight... It would be cool to stream music via Bluetooth and sound good!

Either this is a myth or I am the singularly most unlucky person on earth. I have been looking for a bluetooth unit for months (for less than $600) to no avail, eBay, AZ, audiforums.us, all a bust. I can find plenty of 8T0 (B8) units for $50, but no 8P0 units. The 4E0 is a popular one too, usually less than $100. I am about to give up.

These look like a great deal, checking the feedback it looks like he will accept an offer of $300 US. You should post about this part number on audiforums.us before you buy though to make sure it's compatible, the seller says it will work with B6/B7 but it's an 8P0 unit which is a European 2010 model. The guys on audiforums.us know what they are talking about as far as this kind of stuff goes... Here's the ebay link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AUDI-...fAudioQ5fVideo

    Good luck!

8P0 is not a European model per se, actually it seems to be the code for A3's (the A3 steering wheel starts with 8P0 for instance). What makes those $350 ones the European models is the last letter (S instead of T for the North American models). From my research on Audiforums.us, you really don't want to get the European model for a US car, even though someone here on AZ said they had OK results with it.

So yes, I am serious. Find me a US model 8P0 862 335 T (or P or R, etc.) on the cheap and we'll talk.

Drew's 3rd post is especially informative.

Right, 8P0 means it's a 2010 model year part, AA at the end means it's a European model. I guess I should have given the complete model number.

The sad thing is I was actually looking at the compatibility chart when I made that post... Serves me right for posting before 7 am.

You didnt specify you wanted US, so that's why I was surprised you said you couldn't find any.

Yeah, my bad there, sorry about that. I am just frustrated that the Euro's are a dime a dozen and the US model (for this car only, apparently) is impossible to find at a good price (if at all).
