I have been getting the the code 16487- Mass Air Flow (MAF): Signal too high. I replaced the MAF and had no luck. So I checked the wiring and it looks like this:
    only 4 connectors...

    black wire (ground?) is exposed

    5 prawns

Is their a way to wire the black one back in there or will I have to buy a new end piece or is this normal??? Thanks for the help

you need to reattach the broken wire. and only 4 wires is normal. the 5th wire is the non-existent intake temp sensor (because its a separate sensor).
    contact via email please.

so your saying that black wire is supposed to be like that? I think I'm going to buy a new end piece from ecs and rewire it seeing as my clip is broken on it

I think you still need the terminal ends though.

I bought that part from my dealer but it did not come with the connectors the wires are supposed to be crimped to. Where can I get those?

you do still need the terminal ends. the connectors come precrimped with wire. i would probably go with either the 000 979 133 or 133a. the 225 wires would be too thick.

edit: most dealers should have them in stock. we had a whole tackle box full of wiring like that.

    contact via email please.

Is that part number for one wire or all five?

its for 1 wire. but each wire has a pin at each end. so 1 wire makes 2 wires when you cut it in half. make sense? so if you need 5 wires total, you need quantity 3 of the part #.

i might still have a few of them actually. ill have to check my drawer.
    contact via email please.

    Thanks Ian.

I bought two wires (four connectors today).

I was almost done carefully cutting my old connector apart (the bulk plastic) and my hands slipped last night. Cut right through a wire. I was SO close to not having to solder anything but just transfer the wires into the new connector (my old connector was busted but the wires were fine). Doh! Gonna be soldering tonight.

In an attempt to save some money for future searchers, we have the connector (as linked above) and repair wire for quite a few dollars less than the dealer: Click here to save some money As an example, the repair wire at the dealer is ~9 dollars, we have it for ~2, in different colors and in stock.
