    Tire size question?

I am currently running a 225/40/18 tires right now, on a stock sport suspension(99 a4 Quattro). I found a very good deal on a tires however the size is 225/45/18, I looked at the tire calculator and noticed they are .5 inches difference for width. I was wondering if anyone was running these tires and if you are rubbing. I have searched however came up with nothing useful.

    Thank you,
    Chris

you wouldn't rub most likely, but it's not good for the quattro system and the speed sensor to put on different size tires. rule of thumb is that for a new tire size to be appropriate they should be less than 2% different in size from OEM
two thousand two audi a-four quattro five speed
