Side shot of sport/usp avant photo request?

My avant is current on bilstien sports and H&R sports but it is too low for Seattle city driving. It scrapes on EVERYTHING and going in and out of my parking garage. I would like to lift it up a bit, but I am thinking the OE sport springs will be too tall for my liking as I only want 5mm or so, maybe 10mm max raise in height. I would like a straight on side shot to see how much of a difference it would be.

Do people use stacked rubber spring pads here? I know some people do that with the BMWs I use if they still have standard diameter springs.

    Thanks.

Thats a good idea. From what I can find the drop on the H&Rs is 1.7" the 1.2" drop from the Neuspeed ones would work pretty adequate.

Anyone have pictures with a sideshot of Neuspeed ones front and rear? Kneel, if you want to post up a side shot of yours I would be interested in seeing that as well!

It still sits really nice in the back without much gap. The tires are just "less tucked". That's probably good because I ended up getting narrower tires than I originally wanted to make sure I could fit them. Although I think my car looks good, I need it to be practical...I have a real track car already, this is just a fun cruiser.

    Here is mine now:

    :)

Come to the parking garage I park in. Even barely rolling (less than 1mph) I scrape the front at the bottom, the middle at the top, and somewhere going over the speed mountain. This driveway is insanely steep and they have one of those sharp edged speed bumps right in the middle so you need to get a little run at it to get out the door before it closes. Its a royal PITA and I'm not even sure if that grade is legal for a parking structure.

That said I may just continue scraping :)

I saw an S4 avant yesterday that looked pretty decent for ride height. Are the S4 springs different than the sport springs? I still think the Neuspeed Avant ones will be a better option though.

I'm pretty low, live downtown and I gotta go down 3 levels to my parking spot. I only get scraping from my splash guards every now and then. More issues with tire rubbing then I do with scraping. Just gotta take your angles. But I feel ya if you get tired of it.

kneel those are how it sits now with the H&R up front? I much rather that look then the front being a little higher and back lower like wazzu's and how my sport springs are doing now.

so are any of you guys running these Neuspeed avant sport springs with the stock sport shocks? i'm curious if the ride quality is diminished much from the stock sport setup.

i live in seattle, too, and the roads are just horrendous around here. my daily commute takes me down mercer to i-5 in the mornings and i swear that road's going to eat my car for breakfast one of these days.

i'm only going low for aesthetics and i want to retain as much of the original compliance as possible. i also can't spend a fortune and go for coils, so my options are to stay 4x4 on the sport suspension or just go to something like the Neuspeed springs for a couple of years.

    thoughts?

Personally I would go with the Neuspeed Avant springs. You can come see my car sometime and drive it if you want to find out if the H&Rs are too low for you. since this is my Daily Driver and I already have a track car...I'm more worried about looks and functionality rather than just looks. Id rather lift it up a little bit and have it look a little worse than worry about cracking my oil pan every 5 minutes :). When I bought the car it had a cracked pan and Im not really interested in swapping them again!

My car sits level as far as I can tell. Maybe the picture makes it look off a bit. I agree that a little rake looks good though and I would prefer that. If I switch springs I will probably stack spring pads in the rear to give it a little rake so the rear does not droop when I have my track toolbox in the back!
