I guess when you are accelerating while racing your car is pointed up at a 45 degree angle? It also looked like the lean was off more than a few times on the turns. Should have been right, when left, and vice versa.

It's not supposed to be leaning at the same angle as a real car would. It simulates the G forces felt under braking, turning, and accelerating by tilting the chair and letting gravity pull you in the direction you would be pulled in a real car. So when you hit the brakes it tilts you forward so gravity pulls you towards the monitor, and then when you accelerate, it tilts you back so that gravity is pulling away from the screen. the horizon in the game is not the same as the horizon in real life. that thing is pretty cool, I'd like to try it out and see just how realistic the simulation is. I think it would be better if it was enclosed so that you don't have a reference view of the room, or maybe if the room was really dark (lights off).

Im with you Charkey, i cant watch the video but im curious to feel just how real it is. If I had the money, id probably put one in my basement, assuming ti can adjust the G's for different cars in different games.

Looks like a lot of fun, I bet it is a lot of fun. But since when does a "race car" get vertical on the race track (besides track cars and cars flying in the air while while smashing the walls). A little ridiculous on the physics side of things.

What do you mean when does it get vertical? I cant see if its an open cockpit, so im just going on assumption here. But im guessing you guys are questioning why it looks like its pointing straight up or down. Which is simply to put the "forces" of acceleration and stopping G forces on your body. There is no other way to do this standing still. If the thing is enclosed and you cant see that you are flipping backwards, it will feel like you are simply being pushed into your seat. Simply Physics.....

Ok i finally went and looked at the picture...while the concept is still somewhat correct, not being enclosed is going to throw your brain and the forces for a loop unless you are in a completely white room with nothing to base your perceptions on.
