I have installed the kit from Kufatec on my 2009 A4 Avant - Photos of my LEDs

    Limo: http://www.kufatec.de/shop/product_i...udi-A4-S4.html
    Avant: http://www.kufatec.de/shop/product_i...-S4-Avant.html

But Audi should also offer a OEM kit now (starting week 50/2009):

    Limo: 8K5 098 100 ~ 535 EURO
    Avant: 8K9 098 100 ~ 655 EURO

These retrofit kits are only for the RoW market - not for NA (yet - or I don't know if the OEM kit is available in NA)

You can retrofit the kit from Kufatec your self - but the Audi OEM kit need to be activated via there SVM server in Germany (online VAS access).

The Limo is more less Plug'n'Play - where the Avant is a bit more difficult, because you need to remove the trim from the tailgate and draw a wire from outer to inner LED - but when you have done it once, it is easy. With the Avant OEM kit you also get a new BC2M module, which you don't get with Kufatec.

i'm not quite sure i understand the taillights needing activation from the SVM server in germany. why do you need the taillights to be activated?

also, i see that these kits are made from the s4 taillights. would it be the same case if you were to get the 2010 A4 taillights that are also LEDs. would it just be plug'n'play or would you also need to get an adapter and activation with that?

Apparently since the lights tie into the BC2M module, Audi doesn't want anyway re-coding in there. As far as I know, you are locked out of that module. They only way to get pass the security is via the SVM at the dealer.

At least that is what i have seen from reading here on the forums. If you try the S4 lights out, please let us know how it goes for you.

yes those will work but those are not OEM, just aftermarket ones. they will only work if you currently have the halogens and i believe they are a direct replacement with same harness and everything. they are ok i guess but the OEM LED tails look 10x better, but depends on your budget, $300 vs $1000

the ebay page has a pic there, but its hard to see i guess you're looking for diff angles/lighting.

if you like the look of those LEDs then go ahead, personally i just stay with my halogens instead and not worth $300 for me to upgrade my halogens to those. the lights arent bad but they have a "cheap" LED look to them with that spidered pattern, like something you'd see on a Kia or something. doesnt look as clean as OEM, just look at it side by side and the difference is obvious.

but if you like that better than your halogens and if its worth it then i'd get em.
