**** Carbon Fiber Door Sill Inserts ****

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
What do you guys think of my latest project????

The sills are B7 a4 sills, with the aluminum inserts removed and replaced with a carbon fiber insert.

Im going to try out a silver weave and a plain weave to see what it looks like.

This is similar to what the original sills looked like.

The reason i didnt do the whole doorsill is because it seem'd a bit too much CF if i did it like that. I just went with how the B7 sills looked like and moved from there.

i'll see what it looks like on the car and see how it matches a set of carbon trim. Plus the picture makes the trim look greyish.. i'll up load pictures when its on the car.

With the silver CF, I would seriously consider buying this. The sills I have now don't look the part.

It's actually really hard to reuse that aluminum after you remove it, next to impossible. It's really thin and becomes wavy after you remove it. Something I thought about.

What about wrapping the entire sill and then cutting out the middle so that the aluminum part would show through?
Never worked with CF so I dunno.

Anybody have any experience with the PYSpeed wrap? I was thinking of getting it to do my interior trim, but I'd like to hear what experiences other people had with it.

I'm just not sure how well that stuff will cut, when cut from the center. I have enough sills collected to try different routes.

Good idea man, I like it.

Quick question, do the B7 sills bolt right up or do they need to be modified. And how much do they usually sell for?

I like the black CF look because it matches my interior. Or we could just bug Matt at OCarbon to make a set. lol.
