is anyone else still interested in APR's front mount?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I tried to email them asking about where the project stood at the moment, and I have received no response. I for one, still wish to purchase it if it ever came out. I'd like to let them know there's still interest. So, anybody else want it like I do?

Not to go too off-topic as to why I am posting this, but my AWE front mount is possessed or something; I don't blame AWE or their couplers anymore, because the overwhelming evidence from many other happy customers has convinced me otherwise. I'm sure some of you recall me getting angry and pointing fingers before asking them for help. Well i've called and they are stumped as well as to why I am always leaking boost despite my efforts. Shipping from the first owner beat it up and I had to have one side of the core piping pushed back into roundness with a pipe expander which is the only thing I can come up with; it's something that is not visible to the naked eye. So if somebody wants to take a stab at it and get an otherwise good product for cheap, read my sig.

    Cheers everybody.

I stay in pretty regular contact with APR. I have stopped asking about the FMIC. The last time I spoke to them about it was about 2 months ago and they said it would probably be in the spring. They really didn't want to make any promises though because of the obvious delays over the past year. I'm sure it will be worth the wait though!

The design of the APR FMIC, if it ever comes out, interests me more than that of the AWE.
Thats really why I have been holding out now for sooo long.

So are they actually still going ahead with this or has it bee dropped?

I would be interested, mainly because I can't afford anything right now. If I had the money, I would have already bought the AWE and called it a day, but it will be a long time til I can afford something like that. I am interested to see how it compares to AWE in price and performance. I doubt it is a project that has been dropped, since APR is such a huge leader in the B7 performance market. I am sure they are just unwilling to release it until they have at least equalled the performance of AWE, or dare I say, surpassed it. It is an amazing thing that AWE's FMIC is more efficient than stock, and I am sure that APR knows there is absolutely no point in releasing their own unless at the very least, it matches performance gains in every single area to the AWE one.

I am not an APR fanboy, I don't own a single thing they produce, I am just in it for the best parts at the cheapest cost. Any competition is a good thing for us as consumers.

I would hope that it comes out over this summer. I want to try my luck with a brand new product, and to be quite frank, I am an APR fanboy and want their product. If it leaks too, I will probably just run the car off a bridge and buy a 20 year old Civic.

That might suck, but at least the Civic will be faster if you throw like 14 bucks at it in aftermarket parts. I hear that Vtec goes BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

APR probably wont be in a hurry to do it. Dont hold your breath. And I doubt its performance will be any different than AWE's.
