I know its fiberglass but shouldn't get much stress on the trunk so don't think that will be an issue...

At least it cost under 50 bucks if it turns out to be a fail??
You would either 3m tape and risk it flying off.
Glue. could not be removed w/o damaing paint.
Or drilling holes through trunk lid.
Or you could buy the pre painted smaller one for the same price and be done. I bought one them now for 2 years w/no problems.

Nope, but another one. The company that was making these spoilers seems to have vanished from eBay which is unfortunate cause the paint was a 99.9% match and the construction was quite nice as well. Although there's likely something else out there, but I can't vouch from them, only this one.

i have an ebay ABT replica, but i dont think it was that one. i like how that looks on bmags car. looks more like a USP than ABT. which is what i want.

    EDIT:

this looks more like the one i have. i like it, it fits nice. i could make it fit better if i screwed it down and/or used betalink. but like i said i want a USP so i just have it doublesided taped.

I bought that same exact spoiler off of ebay. Streetracinglife is great!!!! Great spoiler for the price. Fitment is OEM, but they do not come painted. All you have to do is stress that it be packaged correctly. It's fiberglass and it might break or chip during delivery.

I have a similar one I bought a year ago for $120 painted fiberglass, and IT IS NOT FLEXIBLE, so if u tape it down(I used every 2 sided tape there is) it will pop up on the corners. The only way to secure it was to drill holes and use tape as well.

Get an OEM one they aren't to pricey if used and they fit no problem.

That's why you get the Betalink-K1 (BMW Part #: 82-69-9-408-866) from a BMW dealer. No drilling necessary and it will secure it. Permanently.

You could order some up from Paint Scratch and shoot it yourself. With proper prep and some accurate coats it should work fine.

keywords. it SHOULD WORK FINE. but chances are, that it wont. especially if youve never really painted anything. these are litteraly spray bombs. they dont have the fan pattern like a paint gun would have and it makes it a LOT harder to get an even coat. and yea, you can tell. at least that is my experience with painting my lake silver with these.
