    I thought it would be fun to get an "official" water sports thread going.... Maybe make some introductions or a little profile of your background in the sport then just take the conversation wherever...

    What tow sports do you do? Slalom and wakeboard
    How long have you been doing it? I started water skiing when I was in 5th grade, I'm 26 now.
    Where do you do your boating? Long Lake, Maine
    What do you ride? 66" Radar Senate, 67" HO Triumph
    What boats pull you? For slalom we have a 2000, 20' Tige closed bow with a 350 mag merc center engine direct drive. For wakeboarding and tubing we use my Uncle's 2007, 24' Moomba XLV Gravity Games Edition. We also have a 2000, 22' Larson 226 with a 350 mag Merc and a bravo 3 outdrive but that's just our family boat.
    Favorite memory related to the water? First time I ran the course because it gave me a goal and a new challenge. I'm addicted to it now.
    Personal bests? 3 @ 22 off and 33 mph

    Where do you do your boating? Scioto River, Columbus, OH, or other lakes around Columbus ohio
    What do you ride? 139 Company Recruit and a Connelly Concept (forget the length right now I want to say 67 maybe)
    What boats pull you? 2002 Mastercraft Prostar 209, the Ohio State Waterski and Wakeboard Team boat, 2000 Moomba Outback (friends slalom boat), 2008 Super Air Nautiwue 220, and then all the tournament boats.
    Favorite memory related to the water? Bib chasing and useing the line..."I totaled my bed can I sleep in yours" with success.
    Personal bests? I had a wicked crash and went out the front of my ski last year. Other then that haven't really gotten on the course yet.

    i started wakeboarding and tried slalom ski but i could only get like 2 balls on the best so i was like i'm so over this and went back to wakeboarding

    What tow sports do you do? All the above. Im the best @ Jump, WakeSkate and surf
    How long have you been doing it? Started about the time I could comprehend how to do it sooooo 5? 6? (currently 22)
    Where do you do your boating? Castle Rock, Petenwell, Okauchee, Oconomowoc, Little Muskego, Lake Michigan (in the breakwater)(all in wi), and Lake County, IL
    What do you ride? 141 Gator Caddy, Ronix Ibex Parks, Liquid Force Anthem (skate), Just picked up a Liquid Force Venture
    What boats pull you? Malibu Response (dont know exactly what one, its my old bosses), 2003 Moomba Outback, Super Air Nautique 220, and then all the tournament boats.
    Favorite memory related to the water? Just being with good friends with good weather drinkin good beer.
    Personal bests? Jump: 85' Slalom: 1.5@22 32mph Wake: 3rd place (outlaw class) doubleup (double back 3).

    that last one was kinda an accident, but it worked out.

    I'm not letting this die, what do you guys do, if anything off water to get ready for the season? I'm finally getting back into the gym for general strength training and to shed some weight but I can always use some ideas on what to do while there.

    I don't think I could isolate only a few muscle groups for slalom. It's such a full body sport. Back, Legs, Arms, Shoulders... A good full body workout is the best way to get ready for the season.

    went wakeboarding in the Inter Coastal last week, it was interesting, glad I didn't try to ski. haha


    also 4 days till our team boat goes in the water, we cleaned her today and she looks sexy, and matches my truck.

    What tow sports do you do? Wakeboard/Wakeskate
    How long have you been doing it? 10 Years
    Where do you do your boating? Butler Chain, Orlando, Florida
    What do you ride? Liquid Force Fly S4 138 and Liquid Force Trip for messing around. My wakeskate is a Hyperlite Catalyst.
    What boats pull you? My 2006 Super Air Nautique 220. Loaded with 1900 pounds of ballast, 2800 watts, four batteries, and enough bass to make the fishies scream. I love this thing.
    Personal bests? Just to get out on the water two weeks ago after my shoulder surgery put me out of the sport for a year.

    Boat's in the Water today, pics will be up this weekend maybe. I'm excited to get back on the water but its made me realize that i need a new Front binding for my ski.

    jealous of you guys. we don't launch our boats at the lake until sometime in late may early june.

    Air temp is 40F here and the water is still in the 30s, snow tomorrow...
