So in search for those extra ponies I took the stock pulley off and took it to a machine shop so they could make me one out of a lighter material.

The RS4 and the S4 are two different motors.

That actually makes it easier, the crank is fully internally balanced on the RS4. Therefore the LWCP can just be plain balanced, unlike the S4 piece where it is necessary to create balance with the crankshaft/rotating assembly.

I will let you guys know when it`s finished. After testing it on my own car and when I`m sure this won`t be a detriment to reliability.

You have to be a member of EA to view the thread but considering it takes 2-3 minutes to sign-up I don`t think it`s that much of a biggie.

New pics. 2 of the pulleys were machined in such a way that balancing was not required.

Now at 1.2kg. Pretty big difference from the stocker (3.6 kg) .
    Imperial values : stock - 8 lbs ; aftermarket - 2.64 lbs.
Don`t think there`s much point in racing after a 400 gram pulley , I mean gains from loosing 700-800 grams on the crank pulley can`t be easily quantifiable.
