Question Help with Special Order color info...

I am in the process of finalizing my choices for a new S5 Cabrio and decided to go with the Euro Delivery. What better way to experience an S-car than on the roads it was inspired by? Since I'll have such a long wait for the car, I decided to go with a non-standard color. From what I understand, Quattro GmbH has a stable of special colors that can be special ordered for a price. Does anyone know where I can find such a listing and samples of the colors? I went into a dealership today to talk with them about it - the salesman knew nothing and the sales manager was a jerk. He acted like there was I was crazy when I asked where I might be able to see what colors are available. He didn't dispute that colors could be special ordered, he just said that I had to tell them the color that I want and they will see if it is available. Seems a bit bass ackwards to me...

Maybe such a list doesn't exist, but I would've expected the sales manager to be a little more accommodating or diplomatic to someone wanting to order a $70k car.

What colors are out there? Suzuka Gray, Black Cherry Pearl, Papaya, etc.

Thanks and pictures of such colors are greatly appreciated!!!

Audi has a special color program that adds a few weeks to the order and costs $2500. This included any standard color that Audi has used in the past or currently on different models. The most popular non-standard color is Daytona Grey pearl. You can find this on Google pictures or if you do a search on various forums. Others are graphite grey, Sasuka grey, Imola orange, etc.

You can also pick a totally custom color for $5000 but that adds months to delivery.

I'm surprised your dealer is giving you a hard time. Check out my dealer's website http://www.schaumburgaudi.com/ they advertise the color program right on the first page.

thanks for the help! i'll likely go with the $2500 option - audi has enough very cool colors that i don't need to go totally custom. i would love to see a catalog of the colors online. here are a couple pictures that someone had posted on another forum from a visit to the Audi Exclusive showroom. it looks like there are hundreds of color chips. it was also cool to see all the seat options with colors & stitching contrast.

right now i am debating between Susuka Gray and Aviator Gray. ideally, i'd like to find a "flat-ish" color somewhere between the two. add a red cabriolet top and red leather seats & light stitching... oh jeez - i'm off on a tangent!!

The sweetest Audi Exclusive color I've ever seen was the Bentley silver someone ordered. MAN...this thing was sweet and it wasn't your typical silver either. I wish I could find the photo or if someone knows where a photo is please post up a link.

now that i look at the pictures of all the color chips, maybe the sales manager at the dealership wasn'y so far off-base. he could've handled it better, but i can see how it would be hard to compile every color chip and disseminate it to every dealer... i really like the Suzuka Gray. no sense looking any further.
