You are very unlikely to find one in the US as you never got them so you will need to look out side the US.

400... is reasonable.. ive looked ebay.de and spoke to a few people.. shipping costs 150 or so.. but it will take for ever cause its standard ship.. trunk alone junkyard or off a salvaged car is like 250.. so i figure 400 is rather reasonable

Lol, x2. Getting trunks into the US isn't that cheap, otherwise many more people would be doing it right now. Most quotes (unless you're shipping it with a lot of stuff via freight) are ~$250-350 for shipping. I was going to buy a trunk from an AZ dude who is doing a widebody, and he wanted ~100 GBP (which is fair), but shipping, even via DHL, was $350. UPS/FedEx was pushing $450, and you can't ship it via Royal Mail/USPS because it's so big FTL.

thanks for the help matt.. if i wanted someone to just laugh at me i woulda posted my asking price and been done with it.. 400 is a rough number because you asked me what i am looking to spend and that was what i was quoted from my family friend over seas to get it here.. if you have a trunk aval. for me to purchase then let me know and ill be more then happy to work with you (price wise) to pick it up.. but i dont need you mocking me.. im just trying to get assistance from the community for a product that i know is hard to come by

Whoa...I'm not laughing at you...I'm laughing at what mangyuen said ("its been sitting in my closet for almost a year now. :-) hopefully one day it'll go on.") because I'm in the same position...except its under my bed. It wasn't directed at you...I apologize if you thought it was. I'm not mocking you at all, so don't take it that way.

Minh and I have both had the same experiences...all we're trying to do is share our experience with you. I had the same discussion with Romell a week or so ago. There's only 4 or 5 of us on the board who have (real) European trunks in the US, so there's not a wealth of accurate information out there, just a lot of hypothesizing. So please don't take some gentle ribbing between Minh and I personally.

I probably shipped my Euro trunklid in by the cheapest method. The trick is that you have to live in Europe, and then move back, with the government moving your stuff for free.

With what? My trunk lid got damaged in the move. Greg repaired it and used it as the mold for a CF Euro trunklid. It's already spoken for if/when I sell it.
