I just got my DTH side skirts for the avant. I bought the FRP and I was wondering if anyone was coating them with something to keep them from looking scratched up after a few miles. IF anyone has a ny pics of them after a few miles or after they clear coates them or whatver would be awsome. I want to make sure I get them painted if i am going to before i put them on. TIA

I appreciate the link Jeenyus but like i said i am not wondering how they look or what screw size to use. I am just asking if anyone that acutally owns them can vouch for how they look after driving them for a bit out of the DTH box or if i should coat them. TIA

Haven't had mine on for long but it's fine to bolt them up w/o clear coating them. If you do it has to be flat. I did notice that if you shine light from underneath you its semi transparent but its fine otherwise.

They shouldn't be getting scraped up by anything. They shouldn't require any protective coating. Had mine on for over a month with no issues. Finish looks the same as the day they were put on.

My skirts are the originals that the molds were made from and they had many months of abuse before I sent them to Greg to make the molds and they had no major wear on them.
