    Hi all!

    Quick question, when going BT with Eliminator kits... is the software tuning done custom for your parts or just the same profile for all?

    Here in Milwaukee I only know of an APR place, but is too expensive.. I don't have REVO nor Unitronic options close by...

    Thanks for input.

    You can always ship out your ecu to a uni or revo dealer. I sent my ecu all the way out to eurocode for my Revo tune

    It varies by your needs. If you want an OTS BT software i believe UNI has one, REVO, and some others. You could also go the custom route with UNI, REVO, or TAPP and do lots of logging and flashing for your specific needs. Some of the other guys that are a little more versed in the BT tuning aspect should chime in soon. I went with APR's STG3+ because it was simple, and I didn't have to mess with tuning.

    APR's tuning options arent that much more than Revo or Uni. Not saying I prefer them, because I don't, but if you buy the flash separate from the turbo and hardware it works out about the same as with the other flash tunes.

    What is OTS? So I can go with a "standard" BT profile and be done as long I have the kit parts.. no need constantly log or dyno? that will be nice.. even though I want to learn about that as well. :)

    OTS=Off the shelf. I don't think you can get a stg 3 tune from APR without buying their hardware which is highly overpriced.

    i was actually going to start a thread to ask a similar question in the area that i am looking into a tune..

    it seems like all the tunes ive seen are pre written and if it helps your car great, im looking for something custom that will get me the mose HP out of my set up, do any of these places do remote tuning? ie i tell them all the specs on my vehicle send them my ecu or they send me a codewriter with the code on it and call it a day?

    The best software for the eliminator kits, hands down, is REVO.

    There is no reason to do a custom tune for an Eliminator kit. The software has been written and is fully optimized for this system and a stock block.

    REVO is safe with Eliminator and stock block makes for a decently quick DD. If you want to eventually go bigger , more power or custom then go with something else (Uni).

    So no, you cant buy JUST the tune. If they are using specific MAF, specific injectors, and a modified 28RS it would make sense to just buy the kit
