I can't drive around like this any more, it's not even about the money anymore. I am the type of person that likes to keep my car in mint condition and takes extra care of it and it's not fair that we have to deal with these roads, especially with taxes increasing across the board every day.
No offence, but you are the one who really doesn't understand. Overall the City does not give a shit about pot holes, the roads or especially
your car when they are cutting budgets left & right. Don't get me wrong, I'm against pot holes as well but you have to simmer down and do what you can to protect yourself. I've bent rims, egged tires, blown out tires, etc. and yeah, it sucks, it's expensive, but that's life. Shit happens. If you want to keep your car so pristine, then put it in a garage and DD a Civic with 15" rims and a 60 profile tire. I work as a civil engineer, so I know a little about the roads, maintenance of the roads, etc. Nvrfllw, rayallday & CustomAvant all posted good suggestions.
You won't see many potholes patched except the worst ones until we are no longer dipping into freezing temps. Once water gets into a freshly patched hole and freezes all the work is undone and will need to be patched again. So for now, scan the road like a mofo, bob & weave, slow down or just don't drive your car. Also, a set of smaller winter wheels is not a bad idea either.
