    Good morning Socal-ers,

Anyone have a referral for a mobile windshield replacement? This service could be a candidate to be added to our local shop list...

    Thanks!

Ewww. Yeah I still haven't fixed mine from the rock that bit me on the 5 freeway. Mobile? Not sure. I've got a shop in the 'snore that will do $250 installed/non-oem. Let me know if you find any good mobile guys, could save $$ without shop overhead costs.

The dealership is the best place to start IMHO, since it doesn't cost any more than an independent.

That being said the dealerships use an independent service for things like glass repair, detailing, upholstery, etc.; so find out who they use.

Good advice...I called a bunch of places when I had to have mine replaced and most of them did not give me the confidence to for me to let them touch my car (most just want to throw on a crappy aftermarket one and have no clue about OEM). I found one through the local dealer that was able to give me useful info on the differences and get me an OEM piece. I have the info at home that I can post later if you want...

so here's how it happened - was umping my son's baseball game last night. one of our kids hit a foul ball. i just so happened to park next to the field, usually i park on the street behind the outfield.

    i called, "foulball"

make sure to get the OEM Audi glass if you can afford it. check your glass deductible on insurance too it could be covered.

I've replaced with non-oem glass and been fine but I have a feeling the Audi OEM is stronger and worth it. got my non-oem in Santa Ana for $160 out the door installed on the A6 a few years back :)
