Machine shop that can work on Inconel?

So one of the studs has broken on the APR manifold from the stage 3 kit...

We have sent it off to APR to have it repaired, but I have very little hope that they will get to it anytime soon, as it seems the only person that can repair it is away this week. Even after that, it is not likely I will see it for a couple of weeks.

So does anyone know of a machine shop anywhere in the U.S. that is able to work on Inconel?

Or does anyone have an APR manifold for sale?

We have looked at a variety of other manifolds (ATP,PAG,etc.) but it does not seem like you can retain the stock airbox with any of these?

Would appreciate any info as this is really starting to aggravate me...

GT3071 I believe.

GT3076 also fits on that manifold. Fits very nicely too and you have room to run a stock-like TIP with the 4inch ported shroud compressor inlet. I like this manifold a lot. Casting quality is also top notch. A lot of work was put into this and it clearly shows relative to other products on the market.














OP. Contact any machine shop that specializes in the aerospace industry (there are a ton is Seattle). Inconel is used extensively in the aerospace industry and those machine shops are familiar with this material. It is a lot more difficult to machine than mild/stainless steel and aluminum which is why most shops won't touch it. If they don't have the right drills and end mills then they will just destroy their tooling.

Thanks. No, this basically sits as a bottom mount in the stock location (pushed slightly back in between #2 and 3 to allow room for a inlet pipe). With the wastegate outlet capped off (on T25 with internal WG), you can even run a stock airbox. :)

That is my car that I did some test fitting since I had a 35R and 3076 handy (35R doesn't fit due to the larger compressor housing). I am not running this manifold for the timing on when this was available did not work with the plans I had in place.

The only thing I have left from the ASP GT28RS kit are the turbo oil and coolant lines and the MAF housing. I'm now using the stainless steel Treadstone T3 flanged manifold and we welded a 38mm 2-bolt to 38mm V-band WG adapter to the manifold so I can run the new TiAL MV-S 38mm V-Band wastegate.

The ASP GT28RS kit and software is solid. It makes a consistent 275-285awhp on 93octane and it just plain old rips and is fun to drive. The bulk of that 'kit' is not feasible for the goals of my car so I slowly sold it to good homes.

We received the PSi concepts manifold from Jeff and did a test fitting but unfortunately there were problems with the wastegate actuator clearance on the GT28RS.

Since I am having a shop do the repair work it was just too expensive to have them make the necessary modifications to the downpipe / actuator. So it makes more sense for me to wait for APR to repair my manifold than to try and make this work.

It seems like I may finally get it back this week after a 2+ week wait.

But dealing with Jeff was great, he was very helpful in getting everything shipped ASAP, answering my questions, etc., so someone should definitely give this manifold a try!
