    Opinions on painting rings.....

    Just curious of what everybody thought looked better. Chrome audi rings or flat black. Also wanted to paint grill trim black also. It is only part on the front of the car that doesnt have a clear bra, and quess what, it's chipping. Does anybody sell a black B5 RS4 grill/rings/trim? Thanks.

    If you are going to paint any rings make it the rear rings. If you paint the front rings in my opinion they get lost against the grill and it doesn't look great. One easy option for your grill and rings if you didn't want to buy an RS4 grill would be to plastidip them. You can buy it at Home Depot or Lowe's for pretty cheap. It is really easy to do and is very durable. Another advantage is that if you get tired of it, you can just peel it off!

    i hate when people paint the front rings black...just my opinion tho

    rears black do look nice on some cars tho

    I know a lot of guys like to paint their rims and rings for origninality and its cheap but to me if I see a car with painted rims I immediately think its owned by a teenager. I think it cheapens the car.

    Not to say it cant be done right but I guess its the first thing that pops in my head.

    i think it looks good as is. The chrome compliments the headlights. if it was flat black it would look empty

    i completely debadged the rear and blacked the grill surround and rings upfront on my 01 Santorin, it may look "ricer" or "highschool", but i like the subdued, low key look. Plus now it looks ver similar to a DSP cruiser ( CVPI in dark blue) and its helpful on the highway getting people to move out of the way thinking its a Trooper coming up on their ass....

    make the grill flat black but keep the rings chrome. on a color that stands out it looks real good.

    regarding the rear, i fully debaged mine and it won't look good without a euro bumper, kinda wish i kept the rings right now.
    And Rosemary proceeded to Catharin with intentions of a marriage with Theadore. When she arrived, Theadore opened the door and shot a blow in her eye, laughed, and stabbed her in the face with the mystical sword of Gizzru.
