I took my car in to the dealer three weeks ago today. I was hearing a whine from the transmission and wanted them to check on it. Long story short, they replaced the transmission, turbo, 1 engine mount, valve cover gasket, and driver's side rear window regulator. All of this was covered by my warranty through Hondacare. Hondacare refused to pay full price for the parts from Audi, so they sourced them from somewhere else and had them shipped to the dealer. The parts didn't arrive when they were supposed to and delayed the repairs by a full week. The new transmission is nice and smooth. Definitely better than the old one.
However, apparently they bought a refurbished turbo and whoever they got it from didn't do a very good job, cause the first time I got into boost, the dentist drill noise was so loud it made my teeth hurt. This "new" turbo is in way worse condition than my original one. So now I have to take it back in tomorrow to have this taken care of. Luckily the dealership has been very helpful and is doing a great job. I'm guessing it'll probably be another couple weeks before I get my car back. This is ridiculous. Gotta love owning an Audi right? At least I have a warranty, it would suck if I didn't.

Anybody know much about refurbished turbos? I have a feeling, no matter how hard i try, Hondacare will not buy a brand new one, which sucks. The service manager told me where they bought it from, but I can't remember who it was. He said that that place usually has very quality stuff.
