Do you think the OEM rack sits too high?

Im planning on getting into biking and decided to get the OEM roof rack. I still havent bought the bike attachment yet, but I think it sits too high. I'm thinking maybe I should sell and look for a lower profile rack. The OEM is also noisy as hell. Any advice? Are all roof racks going to be like this? Is the Thule much better?

iPhone pics cause I dont have a camera

Thule Rapid Aero system should sit much lower and is an aero shaped bar which looks great! I use it on my factory roof rack.

Hey, that's a great looking A4! I really like the black trim/grill and RS4 wheels. So, about the bike rack... I bought a Thule a couple years ago and never looked back. I've only seen a few other Audi's with either OEM, Yakima and Thule racks and I personally like Thule the best. I think the black bars will look better on your car and it may actually be a little lower in profile. You can see pics of my car here too:

I run the stock rack and need the height of the rack, if you snowboard then you need the bindings to clear the roof and the extra inch or two help. But I do agree it's noisy and needs a wind screen. But it is always gonna be noisy especially if you have bikes or boards on top.

Add a fairing and see if that helps. But yeah, the OE rack sits much higher than any of the others.
