New head unit harness.

Hey I know, i know, search search, click click, find info. But after a solid 30 minutes of AZing and wikiing, I was still left with some questions. I ordered this http://www.crutchfield.com/p_077DTS6...=detailed_info and it comes with all the install stuff including the wiring harness and dash kit. I spoke to a Crutchfield rep about the install and he says it may be difficult because it wont be plug and play, ill have to splice the power wire?? Is this just how the bose swap works or what? Any insight would be helpful. thanks,

The red power (ignition) wire on the harness doesn't work. You will have to run the red wire from your head unit harness to the fuse panel. I used a fuse tap (pep boys) and tapped into something that runs off the ignition. You also might need a ground noise filter (radio shack) if you get line noise.
