Oil "badge" + sensor

My car was parked for about an hour roughly, I came out started it put it in Drive and the oil icon and the word sensor came up on my dashboard. I turned the car off waited a few seconds, turned it back on it still came up. 2 minutes down the road it turned off by itself and didnt come back on yet. Any thoughts what it could be?

The oil expands a bit when its warm, maybe that's why? I'd guess you're right at the point of needing more oil though. What did your dipstick indicate?

Not low of oil at all. Im in the middle and a little more above on the dipstick.
