I definitely agree; a new PM notification is far more important than a count of how many total PMs you have. Speaking of counts, I fear that having the postcount under everyone's avatar next to each of their posts may encourage garbage-posting for some just to up their count.

If you go to your settings, you can check the PM POP-UP notification option that it offers you. I did it but I haven't tested it out yet.

I like the new changes and functionality, thanks.

However, my avatar no longer displays. If I go to the page where I can select/edit it, I get boxes with a red x in them instead of an image.

Yeah the logo issue is now fixed, here are my other issues:

    1. homepage is not as wide as the forums, might want to update that
    2. the quick reply in the classifieds ads is all jumbled up instead of in a line like the forum quick reply
    3. the classifieds also have poor formatting next to the first/main image of each ad
    4. I've selected EST as my time but in the homepage is says PST time
    5. When you click the "reply to thread" at the top of each thread it takes you into a new screen with editing the title as an option, what's that mean?

    1) You mean www.audizine.com? If so, that's intentional.
    2) and 3) We're aware of the Classifieds issues, and will be fixing.
    4) Odd, will look into that one.
    5) The title option is really more for linear thread viewing, such as how KAWF displays.

    There is no report button?

And I do think we need to have something incorporated to help show the difference between what someone is posting and there sig, this is in some cases very hard to see
If you don't have haters, then you're not kicking enough ass.

I was unable to see picture hosted on AZ in a thread.
Also pressing Alt-S doesn't post my quick reply like it says it should (when you put your mouse over the button). Same applies with Alt-X for Go Advanced.

The function "Find More Posts" for a specific user name does not work. It tells me there are no results when this can't be possible.

    Two more things.

    1. Is there a reason that links are not longer underlined? They are hard to differentiate between just typing
    2. Is there anyway to make the border for the sig box more defined? The signatures look like part of the posts everytime

Not sure if this has been mentioned before --

When I come to AZ, it says "Welcome, Imavunderbrah" in the top left w/ my Message count.. but then if I try to do something that requires a login (view profile, view GCC, reply to a thread, etc.) it tells me that I'm not actually logged in. The system thinks I'm logged in (?) but then makes me log in again.

Defeats the purpose of adding useful hyperlinks to posts if you can't see them. Makes me appreciate Oldguy's "clicky click!!"

Also, when I click on my vertical scroll area (Firefox) - not the actual scroll handle, but the empty vertical scroll space underneath the handle - the area that lets you jump down one screen - it actually jumps two screens at a time instead of one.

    1. It used to be when I read a forum and then left the site for a while, the old posts would be in a read state when I returned, now they are not which brings me to #2 . . .
    2. The mark forum read function does not work.
    3. Even when I am logged in (based on the log-out button being enabled), when I post a reply I have to log in again to post. And yes I have checked the remember me box.
    4. On my 22" wide screen I have to scroll sideways to read everything on the post a new thread or reply pages. Missing some CSS tags for centering?

The new upgrade also has the Wiki formats messed up. I am one of the guys whom came up with some of the ways to format the B5 A4 Wiki (took it upon myself). Everything was spaced out nice and formatted to make it very easy for people to educate themselves on the vehicle. But now, it looks like one big cluster. Just wanted to bring it to your attention, if it has not been yet.

Your browser is using the cached version of the Audizine logo, which is old. Try holding Shift and then hitting refresh to see if that helps.

    OS: XP something or other
    Browser: AOL/Google Chrome

    1) All the text has a red underline, but the links don't.
    2) There doesn't seem to be a line breaking up threads in the forum (so for example, in the B6 A4 forum, its a white background and all the text is listed in a line, but there's no line marking what is one post and what's the next).
    3) When I scroll over to click on the next page, the boxy thing on the left where the avatar is, reply with quote, etc, all the text on the posts disappears.

And a personal request...any chance you can either get rid of or widen the border on the side of the page? I think that's contributing to the hard-to-read factor (because its embossed w/ the shadow...it keeps drawing my eyes away).

But I have to say, last nights changes made a big difference. HTH...

    Looks good so far.

My only wish is that you can bring back the button at the bottom of each forum view page that takes you back to the main sub forum. Example, viewing a thread in the B6 forum, done reading, and at the bottom of the page, hit the button to return to the B6 forum. It's now the Quick Nav in vB4 - but it's too hard to navigate. A simple button like before is the best way to jump back.

Also, the "Audizine Forums" link in the footer takes you back to the main index, not the forum index:

Overall I think it's well done and the updated look is well done. Ive been through a few major version forum upgrades on my local board (I'm the admin) and from that experience I can say there will be that percentage that will not like it (HATE IT!) at first but then they will forget about it after a couple of weeks. I would feel free to remind all the complainers that the site is still free to use and post on with minimal ads and the community is #1.

    Great job to all!

In some threads, when quoting someone, it seems like the signature text is being carried onto the quoted text (probably via the php coding) and a div is either left open or unintentionally closed, resulting in the users signature text being displayed under the post that is quoting them. This leads to a div formatting issue where all of the following posts are wider, taking up the entire horizontal space within the containing div, which usually has padding for all other posts. You can see the beginning of the problem when the report, reply, reply with quote buttons start to get messed up. It's usually the author of that post whose signature that appears later, messing up the formatting.

I too am seeing the red line under everything. how do I fix that? I went through my options but didn't see anything.

opinion...........i am NOT to happy with the change. seems cluttered and confusing. I understand the upgrade so the site runs smoother and faster but why couldn't we keep the look the same? I guess I am one of those guys thats is...."if it's not broke then don't try and fix it".
