The only problem is now that lowesta4 only sells the kits for the 2013 models there is no easy way to get what i need. In fact i can't even find an inclusive list of all the necessary parts. Can any of you who have done this upgrade maybe detail out a list of at least the major and semi-major parts you need to do this? I have no issue with running ragged to locate everything, but i can't even do that without a checklist of what i need to find.

I thought the entire list was the following...
    Left headlamp housing
    Right headlamp housing
    2x Xenon bulbs
    2x HID ballasts
    Kufatec wiring harness
    VAGCOM to enable new lights

However i just a few minutes ago saw a quick mention of LED ballasts too. So im not sure i even know what i dont know i need.

    thanks
That list looks about right now with your addition of the LED controllers, sorry don't have the P/N's though.

If you watch ebay.de you can find a complete set for a decent price. This saves you the hassle of sourcing individual parts (and prob some $ too) but adds the challenge of dealing with a foreign over-seas seller and increased risk of shipping damage... buyer beware.

Thanks. I actually finally found a complete list a second ago while i was reading the vagcom codes section of the wiki. I get that you need vagcom to enable this upgrade but it's really an odd place for the diy parts list. I'm putting it here so that future readers dont have to hunt it out and hope they stumble on it.

    Parts for this upgrade....

    [1] 1 left-side housing

    . LHD (US) Non-AFS (Audi Part Number: 8K0 941 003 C

    . RHD (EU) Non-AFS (Audi Part Number: 8K0 941 029 D

. Those are NOT interchangeable. They produce different beam patterns.

    [2] 1 right-side housing

    . LHD (US) Non-AFS (Audi Part Number: 8K0 941 004 C

    . RHD (EU) Non-AFS (Audi Part Number: 8K0 941 030 D

. Those are NOT interchangeable. They produce different beam patterns.

[3] 2 LED Ballasts (Audi Part Number: 8K0907472)

[4] 2 HID Ballasts (Audi Part Number: 8K0941597)

    [5] 2 D3S 35W Xenon Bulbs (OEM Color is 4300K)

[6] 1 Xenon Wiring Harness (Kufatec Part Number: 36229)

    Hi guys.
I'm in process change halogen to xenon now. But i have problem with vag-com's coding.
    my long code string now
    690000B1013400000001000000005F5F411402080200000100 0000
if I change via vag-com cable byte 00 to 26 then i get error "out of range". But 09 block device number is 8K0 907 063 K
last letter is good for changing byte 00? Yes ?
If i try to change in service station via VAS then make it me good result ?

Early i retrofit my halogen projector to xenon by using morimoto lens - it fully shit, light is very bad.
We named it "farmer's xenon" (kolhoz ksenon in russian)
Next step is change to original projectors. but i have problem with coding.
May be my 09 device impossible to coding. Then i try to install original projectors with china ballast now i use.

Why don't you change Byte 00 to 23. That way the xenons will work properly. You just won't have high beam.

Don't think the parts # for the headlights are correct.

    8K0 941 029 D and 8K0 941 030 D are for the US (LHD)
    8K0 941 003 C and 8K0 941 004 C are for Euro (RHD)

    I bought mine from Audi and they gave me a choice between 8K0 941 029 E, 8K0 941 029 F(Left housing US spec) and 8K0 941 030 E, 8K0 941 030 F (Right housing US spec). 8K0 941 029 D and 8K0 941 030 D are no longer available.
