BMW M Power Meter for iPhone

I know this is an BMW iPhone app - but I think it is very cool.

I'd like to have that thing on the S. Not sure Audi would ever make one though.

after reading about it, it is just named the BMW M app, you could probably use it in any car. it is not like you are hooking it up to the car, the phone just sits there. I could be wrong though, i do not have an iphone

correct, it just uses the accelerometers in the ipod/iphone to make its calculations. I've read a lot of good reviews on Dynolicious being fairly accurate (for what it is and what it costs) but that one isn't free ($12.99). I've also heard bad reviews about G-Tac, but they do offer a free app to try it out as well...very similar to the BMW app. I've found that it works ok once you get the hang of it.

I tested out the app today and it didn't work as well as expected. I'll give it a shot again some other time.

Re: BMW M Power Meter for iPhone

it worked once out four goes for us tonight.
Though it was my friends first time using his iphone in such a situation.

I personally reckon it's way too kind.
The best run, which was the 1st, perfect launch, spun just about all of 1st said max 11km/h.

We tried again, this time I bogged but managed a 4.1 0-100km/h (0-62mph) and 1.33g forward gs.

A stock C6 RS6 managed 3.8 on this program. That car is rated at 4.6 (I don't know what people have practically managed with them)

    Either way, it was fun.
