Any previous A3 owner?

I currently own a 2006 A3 2.0T FrontTrack without the sport suspension and I like the way it drives. I've recently ordered a 2010 A4 2.0T Quattro 6MT with the sport package without ever test driving it. I know it wasn't a smart move, but I couldn't find a demo car with the sport package and manual transmission anywhere.

So... how does the car drive compared to the A3? I'm worried that it might feel like a much bigger, less confidence inspiring, floaty car. Is it? I had a loaner B7 once and while it didn't felt big, it wasn't much fun. I've assumed that it's because it was an automatic non-sport model.

ive never driven an a3 before, but the manual sport package is quite an interactive drive lol i love it everyday

sounds like all the ingredients to a sporty, fun, and nice handling car to me! You'll enjoy it just as much if not more than your A3...Will it feel bigger? Probably somewhat--thats just because it is.

I previously had an A3 2.0T Quattro and now have the A4 2.0T Quattro 6MT with ADS. I loved the A3, but the A4 drives better.

It does feel bigger cause it is, but you get used to the quickly.

I would say that you will be VERY happy with the A4 after coming from a your model A3

I recently drove my friend's 4-year-old A3 back to back with my 2010 A4 with S-Line. My car felt much sportier, particularly the A3's steering was very vague on-center feeling, while mine was razor sharp. The suspension in my A4 was also better than the A3. The A3 felt a bit smaller but not in a sporty way. That one didn't have the sport package.

You will very quickly learn to appreciate your quattro too... No more wheel spin. You won't have any regrets trust me.
