I don't know if it's the fact that the car is black and thus the tires are hard to make out on their own (making out is hard on your own ;) ) but something looks a little off about the last picture.

Based on these pic, it looks like 19x9.5 et45 could go wider than 255 and not rub on the outside. I wonder what it looks like inside, near the strut. From this view I would be 275/30's would fit........especialy if your only on the stock sport suspsnsion, or that height. Thoughts?

Would ET35 fix that...or is that backwards?

I'm hoping to purchase an A4 later this year (2013) and want to be able to achieve the look I want with custom wheels but probably at stock height ($$$$). Thanks.

Looking to get spacers. I only rub in the front when turning fast on uneven roads. Would 5mm around be noticeable or should I go bigger? Also any recommendations on a 10mm spacer that would fit the rear I think h&r shows the 10mm as fronts only

How sure are you about the 10mm spacers? Last I checked H&R didn't offer any for B8's. 5mm is a waste IMO. ECS has a nice selection for our cars. Your best bet is to measure the distance from tire sidewall to the inside of your fender to determine the right size.

I currently drive a 2001 A6. Within this year I plan to purchase an newer A4. Any photos of 2009-newer A4 running 19" wheels and at stock height (no drop)? What's a ballpark figure for dropping a A4 about 1.5"? Also, wheels spacers used mostly to change the "stance" of the vehicle? I am new to forums in gerneral so hope I posted this in the correct area. Thanks for any and all replies. I love looking at the Audis in this forum thread...badass!!!

19x8.5" VMR v710's ET35 with EAS white time attack. Wearing 255/35/19 and 5mm spacers in the rear. Also white/black center caps painted by myself.

you should be fine without rubbing, though the wheels will be about 18mm larger in diameter appr 2.8% larger than stock 255/35R19

Possibly looks higher because of stretch...cant see any sidewall. Proper oe fitment on that size wheel is 255 not 235.

Stupid questions for you (or anyone who can answer this for me) but aren't the TTS's wheels center bore smaller than the stock A4 wheels? So the spacers you got on all 4 corners, are they hubcentric sized for the TTS's smaller bore? Lastly would the spacer size need to be any different for this to work on a B8 Avant? It seems that you have 20x8.5 5x112 ET32, according to this guide:

Hi guys!

I just bought my first car and finally settled on a 2008 B8 A4 1.8TFSI.

I want to keep the car stock-ish but I really couldn't stand the look of the stock 17" alloy so I decided to look for a 18" Audi alloy but its so difficult to find an A4 ones here in Hong Kong. So after nights of researches and studying about offsets and wheel width and so many technical terms that looks completely foreign to a car noob, I got these A5 18" alloys which has a 8.5inch width with an ET of 29.




The overall inner clearance is increased by 3mm and the wheel is extended out for 29mm. Luckily there isn't rubbing for now, perhaps I should wait and see.
