Thanks VMR! Got my V710's (19x9.5) in gunmetal this weekend and put them on right away... Before all the drop cops come out... I am still waiting on finding some shocks (I have stock non-sline suspension) or some coilovers before I can lower it. Anyone looking to buy a set of Eibach Pro Kits? I have them brand new and not installed :)

Dang, that looks awesome. Once you drop that mofo, it'll be all money.

Mind sharing your tire size? Spacers?

@freesole - Those wheels are nice. White on gunmetal is smooth and those pics are awesome shots.

Would like to see a side view of these bad boys. Looks good, but mostly it is unique because is not the same wheel that everyone uses.

Relatively stock looking, 2009 A4 Q 2.0T Ibis White, 19x8.5 et 38 Hartmann with 255-35-19 tires all around. Tinted windows and Revo Enhanced ECU and ebay rear lip spoiler. Surely some will say to drop the 4X4 but that aint gonna happen. Life will remain much more pleasant at this height because wife likes to meet the curbs when pulling in. At this height, just barely clears most curbs. This is the second car where I bought Hartmanns and extremely happy with them because they are very lightweight for aftermarket and spin very true so balance out perfectly. In fact, these 19s are lighter than the 19s I had stock on our A6 3.0T.

freesole, sick photography, should get a photoshoot together when my car is up and running again haha. anyways, you dont need the shocks if your gonna run the springs tbh, but coilovers are always a better choice
Modifications: Parents ran out of money so they bought me tires that were way too small for my wheels.

Of course man! It would be great to get a group of us B8's out for a shoot in the Spring/Summer! Hope you get your car issue fixed soon though...
I think I'm going with Coilovers... selling my Eibachs tomorrow. Just don't want to run the risk of ruining my stock non-sline shocks which sounds likely..

jealous! i am just on springs, definitely a good choice goign with the coils. which ones are you going to go with? the only thing is, as much as i want to drop lower, i already scrape in quite a few places, so i think the extra drop would be too annoying for me to get around haha

But you're on a Sline right? The suspension is more suited for that I think :) I have the non-sport suspension so I am worried about the longevity of the shocks. I'm going with the ST's. Our winters here really aren't that bad and I think with proper care, it'd hold up fine. Which springs are you on? Any bounciness?

Calbee - the STs are very unlikely to endure Canadian winters, they're inexpensive b/c don't have stainless components compared to KW coil overs - this has been discussed much here.

As you said this has been discussed quite a bit here, as I know from doing my research on them. I'm from Montreal where there is snow in excess during the winter. Freezing rain is very common and therefore, salt is used to deice the roads. I just ordered a set of STs from Glen @ AMI and will be installing them in the spring. I feel as long as you take the proper precautions by using Boeshield T-9 and take the time to pressure wash the salt every few weeks, you should be fine. I know its a long way away, but I will most definitely be reporting on the condition of the coils during the spring 2013. Lastly, when weighing the pros and cons, for me the fact that they were nearly half the price of KW V1s made it worthwhile because in the worst case scenario that youre stuck purchasing a new set, it ends up being a two for one deal haha. Good luck!

Good luck - Canadiens hire a coach who can't speak French - Sacre Bleau.
Looking forward to to your springtime report - Canadiens not making the playoffs - the shame.

I've read contradicting reviews really. Some say to be careful and that it wouldn't be able to withstand the salt on the roads in Canada but that also depends on where you are. In Vancouver, it's really not that bad a winter unless you frequent Whistler or the other local mountains. I think Greg has stated that it should be able to handle these winters fine if you use the spray and take care of your coilovers periodically (2-4 times a year). Not sure anymore though :(

Ah I'm envious! I'd be curious to see what the ride quality difference is between the KW Variant 2's versus the ST's. I just placed my order.. hoping to get it installed by the end of January!
Here's hoping for more rain and sunshine instead of the white stuff :D

I'm not necessarily condoning staggered wheels on the B8 but you're SO wrong!! Granted, AWD systems are different across the board but to say AWD and staggered doesn't work is incorrect.

None of those cars are as prone to understeer as ours, which running staggered tires will only make worse. Staggering on our cars might technically work, but it still doesn't make sense.

My point was that it's inaccurate to make a blanket statement about staggered setups on AWD cars.

Anyone have an idea (or experience) of what the most aggressive offset that I can run on my winter setup (front/back) without having to do fender work? Take note of the tire size.

    Non-OEM Winter wheels are 18x8.5 ET35 and I'm running 225/45/18 Michelin Alpin PA3's.

I'm thinking ~27 (8mm spacer?) but I would like to hear some other thoughts. Who makes good quality odd sized spacers?
