Wet ECU and Relay Box! HELP!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
My battery was dead yesterday so i figured maybe a door was left open or something. Jump started fine and ran perfectly. When I went back to the car almost 2 hours later the cooling fans were still running. After doing a little digging I figured out the relays were wet so I pulled them, dried everything out and reinstalled the relays. The cooling fans were finally off. I went to start the car and it wouldnt turn over. I figured the battery was dead so I hooked up a trickle charger for 2 hours. Still wouldnt turn over or even click the starter. The Display now says "Service" everytime I try to turn it over. I have now even tried jump starting it like I did yesterday, to no avail. Still says "service" but wont turn over. I have now disconnected the battery and have it charging in the garage. Anyone had a simliar issue? Does it sound like maybe the battery was just drained completely?

If your car is a Manuel you can always try roll starting it to get it to a shop.

Do a static discharge before you hook the battery back up. Basically with the battery out touch the positive and negative battery cables together. This will discharge the electrical system. Basically resetting everything - sometimes this helps clear out bugs if any part of the electrical system is still holding power somewhere.
