My sub install in the avant

Nothing special, but would say it's a pretty clean install. Did everything the right way, and all in all took about 5-6 hours.
    Pretty happy with it.
    Here are some pictures.

Let me know what you think!

    Thanks

It's cool, and a clean install for sure.

BUT DAMN THAT THING TAKES UP SPACE!!!

    Nice work.

Haha thanks, I can deal with the space being taken up. It's no biggie!

Looks nice, but as others have said, too big. I would have went with a nice 8" in one of the side panels.

I don't know... the older I get the worse my hearing is! Plus, there is nothing like Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto #3 (2nd movement, preferably) on a decent stereo, short of the symphony anyway.

Nice install dude... If you ever want something a bit smaller my last B6 avant had a 10" sub where you installed your amp. My amp sat underneath the back floor behind the spare wheel well (pull that floor up a bit, you'll see it).

Nice clean install. I would love to have a 12" woofer or 2 back there, but dread ever having to get to the spare with all that in the way.

My amp setup sounds like what Cartel is describing:

LOL, yeah yeah, I gotta clean up my "trash" - hahaha
I also emptied the slot on the right. Took out the oem woofer/amp and use that space for spare coil packs, oil, brake fluid, etc.

Thanks for that, and the picture 617 Bones... I had been wondering where to install my amp, hopefully I have that space in the B7. I just need to get off my butt and attempt the fiberglass on the left side of the trunk.

I installed an 8" sub at the foot of the passenger front seat.
My wife is only 5' 5" and she is careful when wearing heals... so far anyways!

    I approve of up-front bass

When I get around to it, I'll have 8s in my doors...(midbass)
