Cargo net for Avant?

I thought Audi sells a net that you can attach to the metal loops in the corners of the trunk, on the Avant. I can't find it in the Canadian A4 parts catalog. Does anyone have this? I thought it might be useful for the occasional time, I think the fancy storage dividers are too expensive for my use.

I have an extra one for a B6 - I don't know if it fits a B8 though.

The B6 sedan cargo nets fit nicely right into the B8s.

Does anyone know if a B7 net will fit a B8? Size is important but are the hooks the same too?

The Avant does not come with a cargo net (in the USA). The part number is the same as the A6 Avant and Q7 part though. Not sure if the B7 one will fit. Probably would.

The avant hatch is 29" wide by 37" long more or less. The cargo net fits in the trunk of my Q7 but it is a stretch.

Is the Q7 much bigger? I just measured the distance between the hooks in my B8 Avant and it's 35" wide by 34" deep. Will that fit comfortably?

The Q7 is 42.5" wide and 31.5" deep hook to hook.

My sedan came in with a net...has an opening in the middle and four hooks on each corner to be latch on the metal loops in the trunk...

I don't think there is one specific for the Avant - you don't get a net with the Luggage Compartment extra option.

Several cardboxes do the trick for me. And they are free :)

The net is great, and unlike cargo boxes it never gets in the way if you want to put large items in. When you need it you just lift it and throw stuff under it, when you don't, you throw stuff on top. I bought a net for another Audi model and it fits just great. Don't worry about the size, it doesn't have to match exactly, it stretches nicely and it will fit your Avant.

As far as groceries, I can fit a couple of large Costco reusable bags under it or a bunch of grocery bags, it's just that at some point stuff will get squished as the fit gets tighter.

I'd say it's definitely one of those must-have accessories, but try to get a good deal for it. I think I paid $40 for mine.

Hi Belzebutt,

What is the part number of the net? Was it off a A4 B7?

Also I'm deciding whether to get the net or the grocery hooks for the trunk....
