Anyone ever confirm if the TPMS on the new S4 uses sensors or uses an indirect method now?

From the 2010s we've seen so far Audi has forgone the TPMS sensors in the wheel and is using indirect sensors now (ABS I believe), a much cleaner and more convenient method IMO.

My understanding is Canadian S4's do have a tire pressure monitoring system, however it's indirect (as per US) based on changes in rotation from wheel to wheel (from ABS sensors). Is this the case?

I can't seem to find it now, but I remember a thread about a month or 2 ago where someone used their VAG COM to enable TPMS on a Canadian car, and it did use the ABS sensors ala the US model.

You're right, needs to be enabled through VAG COM as TPMS is not enabled as default from factory. Found it on audiforum.us website.
