Thank you, the stock air ride management has been replaced with a aftermarket system install by Mlcexotics and air tank, controlled manually with a controller. This has made the car so 100% more drivable than its ever been. It can go back to stock height at anytime. And can be Lowered to the ground when ever needed. It even stays at any height selected after 70mph, when you usually can't control the height. This is the Best way to go, i love my audi so much more with this system.!!!

That stance scares me. I've been in cars that low and caught the oil pan on a manhole cover. Talk about an abrupt stop! I am glad you upgraded the system to aftermarket bags. That will be much better all around. Love the color!! Now you need the trunk spoiler body color painted too!

Oh man, these cars are built to handle speed around turns. Big on the inside, small on the outside and nimble.

They work pretty well in the rain too!

I don't get around to the a8/s8 threads much, but someone in the b5 a4 section traded into an a8. I decided to explore haha. This is doing it for me. So good man! Keep up the good work!!

    Thumbs up

Absolutely beautiful work! I'd be very interested in the "know how" on manipulating the computer to play with the suspension like that... theres a thread for that, maybe? I don't get out much... the idea of getting out of stock Audis and beautifying them has all crept up on me in the past couple of months... I got excited about my 2004 A8L face-lift... But I have lots of growing to do, lets say... I think I am in the right place for my inspiration... so thanx

Yes you can lower the car slighty with Vagcom, but not as drastic as shown above.

Hey man, your car looks sick BTW! Have a quick question for you. I know that staggered wheel setup messes with your torsen diff (quattro unit), do you have a slight vibration going around 60-80mph when pressing the accelarator? Reason I'm asking is that when I had my staggered wheel setup on my A8, I had that. Mine tires were 245/30 front and 265/30 rear. Let me know, maybe it was my rims (sold them)

I did, in the Beginning because i had a very aggressive stretch on my front tire and a semi stretch in the rear(Front 225/30/20 and Rear 235/35/20) but once when i had that tiny tire it was interesting to drive, cause the car was soooo low, that it was an inch of the ground in the middle of the car, so everytime there was a crown in the road i had to drive according or else the crown with scrap the bottom of the car.(wow you should see the looks i get with this thing when the crown scraps in traffic:) So once i went to a 235/35 all around that diff vibration went away.

Are you getting new Wheels for the A8 soon?

so you did go same tires all around, I couldnt do that cause I had 9" in front and 10.5 in rear, too much of a stretch. Once I went back to stock everything is smooth now. I'm really searching for new rims, but it seems like I cant find anything I like lately, I dont want to spend too much, but everying I like is over $2500. Heres when I had the rims on, I would rub if I went lower.

I have an A8 and have been messing with aggressive setups for a long time. Ive had 19x10 and 19x11.5 with 255/40 front and rear and now I am back to my original setup with 20x10 and 20x11 running 285/30/20. I am not sure why you are running such a small tire. My car is just as low as your and I have a nice bit of rubber and still a nice stretch on the 11s. I think 275/30 or even 265/30 would be just a bit better for me front and rear. I am looking to make a change to my setup in the next few weeks which is how I came across this thread. I am still stunned you have 235s on there. Id be curious what it looks like when it is in driving height.

I am VERY interested in what you are doing with your air management. I would love to swap out the factory kit but tackling the ECU issues figured to be a big road block in doing that.

Here is a crappy pic of my car right now on 285/30/20 dropped as far as I can manage to get it with the sensors.

Russ Awesome A8L, Can you please post some more Pics!! I have been tempted a few times to get a Mesh wheel. Currently the Pics above, is my ride height. The Rear wheel(20x10 +20et) just fits without rubbing at all. Since this is my ride height, a bigger tire would without a doubt have rubbing issues. Correct, the Ecu is a very Big Road Block. You can use A renntech controller but i, like everyone else want to go lower!!! So some changes are going to have to be made so i can go even lower.

Damn...not sure how you drive it that low especially on those small tires. I know that when I set my computer to Dynamic mode it rides like crap. I was rolling around H20 on Dynamic mode quite a bit and it rides like a hood ride on cut springs bouncing all over the place. It's certainly not good for the car nor is it good for the factory bags to be run with out any air pressure in them. They are not the same as an aftermarket kit and not meant to be run without any air.

Im running a 20x11 with an et36 on 285/30/20 and I only have minor rubbing on by inner fender liner in the right rear on big bumps.

I really don't have many pics of the car. It needs a good cleaning and some paint work after an incident last winter put some decent scratches in the quarter panel. I've raelly neglected it and drive it a lot. Ive clocked 122K on her.

I saw your car early on this year at the college park tuning meet. I really liked it and even took a picture with it. You encouraged me to buy an Audi A8 so I bought the same exact color combination and year :).

Wow, Dirty, that car is crazy. I love it.

My A4 is really a practical choice for me but deep down inside, I actually wanted a D3 A8L in oyster grey and, damn, seeing your's all done-up like it is just reminds me why the D3 is my favourite gen A8 ever!

[QUOTE=DirtyJerzey;4310512]Sup Ladies and Gents, i got a 2004 Audi A8L in Oyster Grey last year so i wouldnt spend money on modding cars....Well it didnt work. I am in the Process of making a very new Look for my Audi. As it sits now i have 30%tint all around, Oempl.us Lowering Links(that i altered), and i used Vagcom(which max lowered the height another 1') so now they car rides about 1.5inch off the ground on slammed mode(which i drive at), and on Lift rides about 4-5' from the ground. I'm only on Stock Wheels now with spacers to help it look alittle better for now..
Next thing on the list is Aftermarket management for my suspension, wheels and the rest is under wraps.
ok enough talk heres pics as the car alittle dirty as it sits now.

So very ghetto. Get pulled over much? Is it still profiling if you announce yourself like that? That said, it looks like you've put in a great deal of effort. One has to admire that!
