    Re: Blutooth phonebook empty?

    Is yours a MY2009 car ?

If so then you need to record a name tag for each entry. It's only the latest MY2010 cars with the 3G MMI that can translate straight from speach to text.

Perhaps this is what is means my empty?

    As also Scotty are saying...

    - MY2009 (MMI 2G) you need to store phone numbers and a tag in MMI's phone book, your phones phone book won't work.

    - MM2010 (MMI 3G) here you can access your phones phone book directly by the caller's name.

    Re: Blutooth phonebook empty?

I'm a new Audi owner and have a MY2010 A4 Premium with the Bluetooth, Ipod and Homelink option - Does this have the MMI 3G system. I can't find anything on the speach to text feature. How do you get this to work. I was able to use the name tag feature.

    Thanks

I had a 2009 and I read the manual and it was dead easy. Something like edit the entry in the MMI and select store Name Tag.

Now I've got a 2010 and hence I've forgotten the 2009 stuff and I read the manual and it's even easier.

    p.s. Did I mentioned manuals?
