alright i know there are a ton of people on here with 3 inch inlets so lets see your DIY boost leak testers. Also a quick description of your method of testing that works best for you would rock too.

just go to home depot buy some 2.75" pvc pipe, and a pvc endcap. Then run over to your local auto parts store and pick up a tire valve stem, drill out the end cap and place the valve stem in it...and what you have there is a boost leak tester for under $10. All you need is a compressor and 15-20psi of pressure and you can test your car

Where do you find the Smoke? I know some places use smoke to help find boost leaks and
vacuum leaks. I wasn't sure if it was "Special" Smoke.

I have a pretty good one i made with a rubber plumbing end cap...its 3" i think...came with a hose clamp and just tightened it down til it fit...cost me like $3.75...then i punched a hole in the center with a screw driver and picked up a tire stem and put it in the hole...very legit..ill take a pic of it for you tomorrow bro.

Just need the end cap, really dont need the actual pipe. The cap should have enough lip to use a hose clamp on. I did the same thing but with one that is large enough for my 4" inlet.

You don't need to tire stems are designed not to leak when pressure is applied to the back side of them. I'll bring mine with me when we meet up later so you can see what I did. I went fancy and installed a Air pressure gauge on it so I could load it up with pressure and leave it sit for a while and see if any pressure is lost.

To test mine i used what ever size was 2.5'' for the outer diameter and then a 2" pipe plug. Pushed it up to 25PSI and then sprayed the connections with soapy water (still had a bottle of it left over from doing my tint). Sense the pressure was all going out not in there was no issue of getting moister in the pipes.

Here is a pic or 2...sorry for the crap quaility

I find it good to use a tire stem because if you're by your self and have a crap compressor, you can pressurize the engine and listen for any leaks or anything. I like it tho...good investment
