I decided to follow nnnicks lead and install the S6 LED's on the Avant. I won't go into great detail with the exception of what I did differently than nnnick.

Thanks to nnnick, enigma, and 10mpg for their pics/info from the past.
Differences from nnnick's install:
-I installed the LED's flush with the inside of the bumper (rather than notching the inside of the bumper) ala enigma/10mpg. This made for some interesting fit of the outside of the LED around the intercoolers, however, it JUST fits. :)
-I wired the LED's to the ignition (tapped into fuse #7 and ran the wire into the cabin fuse box)
-I really liked enigma/10mpg's grilles (the way their shops customized the OEM grilles), so I decided to go that route. Cutting the grilles down, filling the fog light hole, 'creating' the grille bar across the middle, and then sanding, bondo, sanding, bondo, etc. etc. was a HUGE pita. I'm happy with the results (they aren't 'perfectly smooth' yet, but I'm glad I decided to go that route). For now I didn't create the top grille bar like enigma/10mpg did, as I actually liked how the bottom of the LED shows as it does on the S6. If I change my mind I'll create it later.
**I know some have mentioned concerns about the LED's blocking some additional air flow to the IC's. If after some driving I think there is any hampering of air flow, I plan to cut out the exterior (that is always blocked, even on the OEM grilles) solid areas which should provide more air flow than stock.
Onto some pics. Unfortunately just after installing the fog grilles it started to rain (so I only snapped a few pics). I will take proper pictures later. Any questions from those considering this...I'm happy to assist/answer.
Thanks,
tgt

Steps:
-Trim fog light grille to fit
-Cut out fog area of grille
-Use tape of your choice and crate 'backing' (something for the Fibre hair body filler to hang onto. I got the filler from Napa). I used TWO coats of this filler to create the bar area.
-Sand (A LOT, this was EASILY the most time consuming thing)
-Body Bondo to Smooth (Note: the body bondo is different than the fibre hair body filler)
-Sand
-Body Bondo
-Sand
(you get the idea, you need to do this until it's smooth and the imperfections are gone)
