    Audi comparisons

With all the new models coming out from BMW, Audi, and Mercedes, it's starting to get pretty difficult to make a comparison among these German cars. Before, the S, M, and Amg would be the obvious. Currently, 335 would compete with the s4 and m3 would compete with the rs4...and so on. Honestly, this makes it much more difficult for me (and maybe others) to decide which vehicle to choose next.

I know the RS4, M3, and C63 compete head to head. So does the S6, E63, and M5. How bout the others.. What about the A4/A5, A3, 1 Series, etc. Both Sport and non-sport classes.

    Re: Audi comparisons

first off S6 is in competition with 550i and E550---the RS6 is what competes with e36 and m5....
S5 is in competition with 335i coupe and now, the E class Coupe.
A5 probably with the 328i coupe.
A4 with 328i sedan and C class benz.
A3 doesnt have a direct competitor from benz or BMW

    Re: Audi comparisons

OP, I can see how it can get a bit confusing. For instance, performance wise the B8 S4 is a direct competitor for the 335i sedan, BUT when it comes to the interiors, there's no offerings in the 335i like there are in the S4. Just certain things don't match up all the time.

The A3 isn't even close to being a direct competitor to the 1 series, at least not here in the states. Now if we had the S3 2-door, it might be a different story. The A2 is the competitor for the A-Class.

    Re: Audi comparisons

well what i know is that i love the feel and look of 335 sedans. but since i saw that guys b8 s4 on coils in sepang blue, ive almost completely forgotten that the 335 exists.

anyway, what car are you thinking about getting? go into the dealer and drive something in your price range, then go to another competing make and say, e.g "bmw/audi/merc makes this and i like it, what do you have that could change my mind."

they want to sell you cars, they will help you find something.
